Two months into the Trump administration, talk is turning into policy. The final installment of the 2016-17 Energy Symposium Series concludes this week with a discussion about what’s likely to change and what it will mean for Texas and the United States.
The symposium is set for 4 p.m. Friday, March 31, at the University of Houston Law Center. It is co-sponsored by UH Energy and the UH Law Center’s Environment, Energy & Natural Resources Center. It is free and open to the public, but registration is requested.
Speakers include U.S. Rep. Gene Green, a Democrat representing the east side of Houston; U.S. Rep. Pete Olson, a Republican representing suburban areas, including NASA; Wayne Christian, a former Texas legislator who was elected to the Railroad Commission of Texas last fall, and Russell Frisby, partner at Stinson Leonard Street. Green and Olson both serve on the House Energy & Commerce Committee.
Jim Granato, executive director of the UH Hobby School of Public Affairs, will serve as moderator.
The event will be livestreamed on the UH Energy website.
