Priority Registration for Parenting Students

Effective September 1, 2023, Texas S.B. 459 requires institutions of higher education that offer priority registration to also provide priority registration for parenting students. A "Parenting student" is defined as a student enrolled at an institution of higher education who is the parent or legal guardian of a child under 18 years of age.

If you are a student who is the parent or legal guardian of a child under 18 years of age, please complete the Priority Registration for Parenting Students task found in your myUH account, by clicking “myUH Self Service”, then the “Tasks” tile. The deadline to self-identify as a parenting student is February 28, 2024 by 5PM.
